Can you tell us a little more about you and your styling background?
I have been in the industry for over 15 years. I started as a front desk coordinator and would style my friends hair on my lunch breaks. I always loved to braid and style my hair and my friends when I was in high school. I took as many classes as I could on styling and loved re-creating styles I saw in magazines on my coworkers. I also loved helping stylists who were more experienced learn new braiding techniques and always had a passion for sharing my knowledge.
What is the one product/tool you can not live without?
Probably a tie between a shine spray or a dry texturizer
Artists you love to follow that inspire you the most?
What trends are you loving right now?
Messy twisted low updo styles and a Braids with scarves.
Best advice you have on how to get your work noticed on Instagram?
Engage genuinely with other stylists who may have similar audiences. Enter contests on Instagram. Also if you want to get noticed by brands to get reposted, pay attention to their esthetic and if your work aligns with theirs, direct message them and tag them to make sure they see your work.
With so many apps to choose from, what are some of your favorites to use for Instagram?
Facetune for smoothing faces and arms and to blur the background.
What do you love to do outside of work?
I love to hike, support my kids in sports, and I love planning parties.
Watching Real Housewives and pretty much any Bravo reality show.
